State Tax Revenues Remain Below Projections

For the third time in four months, state tax revenues have fallen short of projections. The state collected nearly 280 million dollars in income taxes in February, 27.5 percent below estimates. That leaves total income tax collections for the fiscal year 352 million short, which is 5 percent behind revenue from the same period last year. Overall revenues are 412 million below estimates.
