Striking Red Cross workers in NW Ohio reach deal

The American Red Cross says it has reached a deal with employees in northwest Ohio that will end a three-month strike.

Details of the settlement announced today haven't been released. About 130 Red Cross workers who staff blood drives in Toledo and northwest Ohio went on strike in March after working about four years without a contract. The Red Cross says it expects the striking workers to return to the job tomorrow. Last week, blood-collection workers in Cleveland ratified a four-year contract agreement with the Red Cross to settle a four-month strike in northeast Ohio.
