Study On Feelings From Helping Others

The good feeling people get from spending money on others or donating to charity may be part of human nature.

Cleveland Clinic psychologist Mike McKee says a study by researchers at the University of Canada shows participants worldwide, even in poor countries, got a mental lift from spending money on someone other than themselves. The researchers surveyed nearly 235-thousand people in 136 countries. The study is published in the "Journal of Personality and Social Psychology."
