Study: Ohio's Senior Population Outpacking Growth In Other Sectors

A study conducted for the state by Miami University shows the increase in Ohio's senior population is outpacing overall population growth. The study projects 22 percent of the state's residents will be 65 or older in less than two decades. The study projects the number of people 85 and older will more than double to 675 thousand by the year 2050. The study says the need for long-term services is expected to increase as well.
