Substance Found In Whitehall Identified

U.S. Military officials say a chemical used in flares and matches is the substance unearthed Wednesday by a construction crew in Whitehall.

Officials at the Defense Supply Center says a soup can-sized container of phosphorous was found near the front gate. The Columbus Bomb Squad disposed of the can without incident.
