SUPCO Dismisses Drug Price Lawsuit Against Husted

The Ohio Supreme Court has dismissed a lawsuit filed by backers of a ballot initiative aimed at controlling the prices the state pays for prescription drugs.  The dismissal comes after Republican Secretary of State Jon Husted sent the Drug Price Relief Act to state lawmakers for consideration. Backs sued Husted after he asked local boards of election to further review petition signatures. The lawsuit had sought to advance the initiative to lawmakers.Ohio lawmakers have four months to consider the proposal. Backers could then try to put the initiative before voters.
