SUPCO Upholds Husted's Decision To Reject Anti-Fracking Ballot Measures

The Republican-controlled Ohio Supreme Court has rejected a lawsuit filed by residents of Athens, Fulton and Medina counties challenging Republican Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted's decision to invalidate anti-fracking ballot issues in those counties. The justices say Husted had valid reasons to reject the issues that would have restricted all fracking related development projects. The justices backed Husted in saying the issues failed to satisfy threshold requirements for legal charter initiatives.
