Survey: Number Of Ohioans Lacking Health Insurance Continues To Decline

The 2015 Ohio Medicaid Assessment Survey shows uninsured rates for children and adults have fallen since 2012. The state's uninsured rate for adults fell to 8.7 percent in 2015, while the rate of uninsured children was 2 percent. The survey was conducted by the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center and the state's Medicaid department.  The survey showed half the state's Medicaid enrollees or their spouses work. Nearly 55 percent of Ohioans get health insurance through their employer.
