Survival Gear Seized From Site Of Mansfield Stand-Off

Mansfield Police

Mansfield police say the home where a man was shot and killed by officers after a 26-hour standoff contained loaded assault weapons, ammunition and survivalist bags with food and medical supplies. The items were found during an initial assessment of the 58-year-old David Parker's home on Randall Road. Parker described himself to neighbors as a survivalist. Other items found in the home include a bulletproof vest, knives and igniters. The late April standoff began when a utility worker attempted to shut off the home's natural gas line.
