Suspect In Fatal Shooting Turns Himself In

Nov 12, 2012

Franklin County Sheriff Zach Scott says the suspect in a fatal shooting in Clinton Township has been charged with murder and remains in the county jail.

Scott says 22-year-old Brandon Lee Hobbs turned himself in at around noon today. Scott says he's charged in the killing of Jaron Kirkling. Investigators say an argument over a vehicle sale led to the violent confrontation, with Hobbs shooting the 26-year-old Kirkling several times before leaving the scene at around 3 yesterday afternoon. Kirkling died at a hospital a short time later.
