Suspect In Hocking County Murders Passes Away

Fayette County Sheriff's office

The Blendon Township man charged with shooting and killing his ex-wife and her friend in a Hocking Hills cabin earlier this month died yesterday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. 33-year-old Michael Napoli was being treated at a Fayette County Hospital, where he was taken after shooting himself while barricaded in a Jeffersonville hotel room. Napoli was charged with killing 32-year-old Kimberly Napoli and 31-year-old James Boergers Junior in a rental cabin.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
