Suspects Linked To Short North Posse Sentenced On Drug Charges

U.S. Attorney's Office

Federal prosecutors say 20 people tied to the Short North posse gang who were indicted last December have been sentenced for their roles in a drug ring. Prosecutors say the suspects distributed cocaine and other drugs and threatened customers who failed to pay. Prosecutors say some of the 20 laundered the money by exchanging cash for chips at the Columbus casino. Many of the defendants are relatives of original members of the gang. 31-year-old alleged ringleader Jermonte Fletcher was shot and killed in January after authorities said he opened fire on police.
