Suspension Won't Be Removed From CCS Finger-pointing Student's Record

A ten-year-old Columbus boy suspended for pointing his finger  at a classmate and pretending it was a gun will not have his punishment removed from his record.  Columbus City Schools officials say a hearing officer has upheld Nathan Entingh's three-day suspension, siding with the Devonshire Elementary School principal's controversial zero-tolerance policy decision. The fifth-grader's family says they'll appeal to the school board.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
