The Clark County Sheriff's office says a participant in a triathlon at a reservoir near Springfield drowned during the swimming segment of the event on Sunday.Deputies have identified the victim as Charles Cribbs Senior. Cribbs' relatives were on scene and reported he met with a doctor and discussed the race beforehand. The county coroner's office ruled the cause of death was drowning.
