A Clark County judge has ruled a teen murder suspect may be tried as an adult.
Jim Letizia reports.
17-year-old Raymond Zimmerman is one of two people charged in the January 14th shooting death of 59-year-old William Henson inside of the victim's Mad River Home. Prosecutors say Zimmerman and 18-year-old Robert Winbush killed Henson during a robbery. County Sheriff's deputies recovered firearms, ammunition and a safe Henson owned. Winbush pleaded not guilty and is being held on 1 million dollars bond. Zimmerman has also been charged with delinquency counts of escape and kidnapping after he fled from a hospital on January 30th and abducted a 70-year-old woman before his capture. Deputies took him to the hospital for treatment of an ankle injury they now believe was faked. The judge has yet to rule on whether Zimmerman may be tried as an adult on those counts.
