A Butler County teen is charged with trying to kill his parents by setting the family's home on fire. Sheriff's deputies have charged 16-year-old Mitchell Simon with attempted murder and arson. Deputies say Simon tied his parents' bedroom door shut to keep them from leaving the home. His father sustained two broken legs escaping the flames, while his his mother was treated for smoke inhalation. No word on a motive.
