Thanksgiving Holiday Travel To Reach 12-Year High

Triple-A predicts 50.9 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home this Thanksgiving holiday period, the highest number since 2005. The auto club says that includes 2.1 million Ohioans, which is up 3.5 percent from last year. Spokesperson Michelle Donati talks about some of the reasons for the travel increase.

Donati also says lower gasoline prices this Thanksgiving are a factor. More than 89 percent of Americans will drive to their holiday destination. Nearly 4 million Americans, including nearly 165 thousand Ohioans, will fly this holiday.
