Thompson Still Ducking Questions About Gold Coins

U.S. Marshals Servce

A federal district judge says a former deep-sea treasure hunter from Columbus will remain in jail until he answers questions about the location of 500 missing gold coins.  Tommy Thompson has been held in contempt of court since mid-December when he violated a plea deal by refusing to respond to questions about the coins recovered from the SS Central America, which sank off the South Carolina coast in 1857. The judge yesterday scheduled another hearing in May.
