Three Men Charged In Northeast Side Slaying

Three men have been arrested on murder charges in connection with the death of a man whose body was found when Columbus firefighters were battling a house fire on Monday. Columbus police say firefighters found the body of 56-year-old Rick Rundblad inside a home on Hempwood Drive on the Northeast side. Police say Rundblad had been shot before the fire started and the death followed a drug deal that went bad. 21-year-old John Brewster, 19-year-old Jamell Preston, and 18-year-old Marsean Sowards are scheduled to appear in court this morning.
