Tonight Is National Night Out

natw.org

Tonight is the 33rd annual National Night Out. Columbus is one of hundreds of U.S. cities participating. A Columbus police spokesperson says the event is designed to raise awareness about community policing and neighborhood watch programs.

The National Association of Town Watch sponsors the event that runs from 5 to 9 p.m. Residents should contact their local block-watch leaders or community liaison officers to find the events in their neighborhoods.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
