Columbus, OH – Ohio State coach Jim Tressel says starting strong safety Kurt Coleman will likely miss the season opener because of an ankle injury suffered in practice this week. Starting cornerback Donald Washington and backup safety Jamario O'Neal are serving two-game suspensions for breaking unspecified team rules. Backup safety Eugene Clifford left the team over the summer after being disciplined last year. And defensive back James Scott was not one of the 105 players invited to preseason camp, again for an unspecified reason. The 2008 football season begins tomorrow in Columbus just like it did last year. The Buckeyes are coming off their second consecutive national championship loss with a game against Youngstown State, where Tressel's head coaching career began. Mike Foley reports.
