Tressel To Be Next Youngstown State President

sports.yahoo.com

A Youngstown State University spokesperson says trustees have voted to offer the president's job to former Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel. Ron Cole says negotiations on a contract are underway. Tressel was chosen over the president of Southern Oregon University and the chancellor of the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Tressel has been an administrator at the University of Akron for the last two years.  He took the job after being forced out of Ohio State following the memorabilia scandal. UA trustees yesterday passed over Tressel and hired University of Toledo administrator Scott Scarborough as the school's next president.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
