Trucker attempts to warn people prior to fatal crash

Akron police say the driver of a 12-wheel dump truck died Thursday after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into the Cuyahoga River. Police say the truck's air brakes failed. Witnesses Trista Merendino and Treymaine Danzey told police 41-year-old driver Christopher Burgess sounded his horn and frantically waved his arms to warn people at a busy intersection and a nearby strip mall.
