Trump Stands Firm On Immigration During Akron Speech

Associated Press

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is doubling down on his immigration policies.  Speaking during a rally at the University of  Akron last night, Trump said low income minorities are hurt the most when borders aren't under control.

Trump called Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's immigration plan "radical."

Trump renewed his call for a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton. He said the relationship between the State Department and the Clinton Foundation is a clear example of a racketeering operation.

Trump claims the FBI and the Justice Department cannot be trusted to investigate the Clinton Foundation after deciding to not prosecute Clinton over her email use as U.S. Secretary of State. Several leading Summit County Democrats held a news conference yesterday prior to the speech to demand Trump release his tax returns, something the GOP nominee has refused to do.  The lawmakers and an Akron business owner also said Trump would give tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans while ignoring the middle class.
