Turkey Manure Suspected Cause Of River Fish Kill

Ohio Division of Wildlife officials are trying to determine if turkey manure running in the Little Ottawa River in Lima is responsible for killing more than 5 thousand fish last weekend.

Officials say rain washed turkey manure that had been spread on a field July 31 into the creek. The owner hired a private contractor to spread the manure. Sanctions are possible.
