Two Companies Plan Local Layoffs

Two companies will lay off a combined 205 central Ohio workers in August. DialAmerica Marketing and Verizon Wireless tell state officials they'll close call centers in Columbus and Dublin. The DialAmerica layoffs come less than a month after it announced plans to open an office in Indianapolis and hire 170 workers. The Verizon layoffs are part of a cost-cutting move.
