Two former Republican state lawmakers who helped make the job-creation entity JobsOhio a reality tell the Ohio Supreme Court a lawsuit against the agency should not be allowed to proceed. In a brief to the court, Tom Niehaus and Mark Wagoner argue granting standing to the liberal policy group ProgressOhio and two Democratic lawmakers challenging JobsOhio's constitutionality would upset the balance among Ohio's three branches of government. ProgressOhio, Senator Mike Skindell and former Representative Dennis Murray say the Ohio Constitution prohibits public dollars from being given to a corporation such as JobsOhio. Niehaus and Wagoner helped Governor John Kasich create JobsOhio.
