Two Guards Disciplined In Probe Of Deceased Inmate

State prisons officials have placed two jail guards on leave as they investigate the suicide of an inmate who was scheduled to be executed earlier this week. Officials say 30-year-old John McCollister and 19-year-old Clay Putnam were on duty when 44-year-old Billy Slagle took his own life Sunday at the Chillicothe Correctional Institution. Officials have released no other information about their investigation of the case.
