Two Injured In High Speed Chase

The State Highway Patrol says two people were injured following a high speed chase early this morning when the fleeing vehicle crashed through a guardrail and flipped on the ramp from South Hamilton Road to I-70 west. The patrol says the chase began when troopers tried to stop the vehicle near Brice Road and Channingway Boulevard and the driver fled. 25-year-old driver Jack Morris is hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. His passenger, 31-year-old Grover Solomon, is also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Charges are pending. Troopers say drugs and alcohol may have been factors in the crash. Troopers are also searching for a third person believed to have been inside the vehicle.
