Columbus police have arrested two people in connection with yesterday's fatal fire on Lilley Avenue. Firefighters found the body of 50-year-old Joseph Remlinger inside a car parked in a burned-out garage. Police say Remlinger is a landlord who was killed while trying to collect overdue rent. Police say 33-year-old Maurice Watkins shot Remlinger while the victim was collecting rent. Police say 25-year-old Pierre Williams helped set the fire to cover up the shooting. Court records show Watkins was in the process of being evicted from the Grasmere Avenue home he rented from the victim.
