Two Reportedly Injured In Southeast Columbus Shooting

Columbus police are reporting that two people were shot this afternoon in the area of Liberty Elementary and Independence High School in southeast Columbus. Reports indicate a fight led up to the shooting, which happened around 3:30. High school students had been dismissed, and the elementary students were just getting out. Liberty staff placed the school on lock down. One victim was taken to Grant medical Center and another was transported to Nationwide Children's Hospital. Police have questioned a "person of interest". No other information has been released.
