A new University of Akron poll shows Republican Ohio Governor John Kasich has a wide lead over Democratic challenger Ed FitzGerald, but down-ticket Democratic candidates remain competitive. The poll shows Kasich leading FitzGerald 46 percent to 27 percent, with 23 percent undecided. The poll shows Republican Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted leads Democratic challenger Nina Turner 30 to 25 percent. The survey of 600 registered voters has a margin-of-error of 4 percentage points.
