Unemployment Insurance Claims Increase

The Labor Department says the number of first-time claims for unemployment insurance benefits rose last week by 17-thousand to a seasonally-adjusted 361-thousand.

The increase follows four straight weeks of declines. California, Florida, Ohio, Rhode Island and Colorado are the states reporting the largest increases.
