Sentencing is scheduled July 14 for a Mechanicsburg woman who pleaded guilty this week to charges of faking brain cancer and accepting donations for her expenses. Community members, online donors and a Fraternal Order of the Eagles chapter raised between one thousand and 75-hundred dollars in 2013 for 34-year-old Heather Gaus. Prosecutors plan to request Gaus be ordered to pay restitution as part of her sentence.
