U.S., Ohio Corn Production Rose Last Year

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says American farmers produced nearly 14 billion bushels of corn in 2013. Ohio growers produced nearly 632 million bushels, a 40 percent boost from 2012. Ohio farmers credit a solid year of rainfall. They say December's rain and snow helped set up the soil for a solid start to the spring planting season.
