USPS Carrier Facing Theft And Other Charges

A U.S. Postal Service letter carrier pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges of stealing mail and using stolen credit cards from that mail. 67-year-old Arlie Ruff is free on his own recognizance. Prosecutors say Ruff stole the mail from people on his route on the far West side between 2003 and 2009. Authorities investigated Ruff after a customer reported unauthorized charges on a credit card.
