Valli Reflects On His Career, Jersey Boys And Why He Still Performs

Frankie Valli came to fame as lead singer of the Four Seasons in 1962, but interest in the band's story and music are still strong today.

Valli performs Saturday in Cleveland, and Sunday in Columbus at the Palace Theatre. In a conversation with Mike Foley, Valli touches on a number of topics including his voice, his interest in jazz, the song he's most proud of that failed to become a hit in the United States, Jersey Boys and the legacy he hopes his story and music leave behind.

Mike Foley joined WCBE in February 2000, coming from WUFT in Gainesville, Florida. Foley has worked in various roles, from producing news and feature stories to engineering Live From Studio A sessions. A series of music features Foley started in 2018 called Music Journeys has grown into a podcast and radio show. He also assists in developing other programs in WCBE's Podcast Experience. Foley hosts The Morning Mix, a weekday music show featuring emerging and established musicians, our Columbus-area and Ohio-based talent, and additional artists that inspire him.
