Voters Approved 77 Percent Of School Money Issues On Tuesday's Ballots

Ohio voters approved 77 percent of the school levies on ballots across the state on Tuesday, down from 85 percent last fall. The Ohio School Boards Association says there were 68 school money issues on ballots this week, the fewest since 2006. The passage rate is the second-highest for a primary election. Requests for new money did worse at the polls than renewal measures. Locally, voters approved levies for the Olentangy, Delaware, Jonathan Alder and Newark schools. Voters rejected issues for schools in the Amanda-Clearcreek, Licking Heights and Walnut Township districts.
