Water Leak Keeps Hundreds Of OSU Students From Dorms

About 1,200 of nearly 2,000 Ohio State University students evacuated from their dormitories after a water leak in a basement have been told they might not be able to return for at least two more days. Officials found the leak at around 8:30 last night at the recently renovated South Campus residence halls after a water line broke. Water was shut off to the dorms, and students were notified via email to leave with some personal belongings. University officials don't know what caused the line to break. Repairs are continuing. Meanwhile, lodging is being provided at the university's Recreation & Physical Activity Center for students who can't return to Park-Stradley Hall. Another 800 students evacuated from Baker hall were allowed to return today.
