Columbus, Oh – Two of the most storied reporters in journalism spoke at Ohio State University yesterday as part of the John Glenn School of Public Affairs lecture series. In 1972, The Washington Post assigned Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein to cover a robbery at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate office complex in D-C. Though young and inexperienced, their reporting over the next two years uncovered a strategic plan by President Richard Nixon's re-election campaign to undermine the election and the Constitution. Nixon resigned on August 8th, 1974. Mike Foley reports on their reflections on those days and their observations of modern-day politics and journalism.
