A couple of the musical styles she dabbles in include samba and bossa nova, sometimes singing in english.
Her voice appears in the movie, "The Devil's Toothpick", which also features music from saxophonist Donald Harrison, and Gilberto Gil, who served as Brazil's minister of culture from 2003 to 2008.
Before Kenia started her own label, Mooka records, she released recordings on the RCA, and Denon labels.
