WCBE’s Yard Sale Is Also Electronics Recycling Day!

FREE and easy to do! WCBE, in conjunction with Goodwill Columbus, will be accepting old and unwanted electronics – outdated cell phones, computers, cameras, chargers, DVD players, fax machines, microwaves, monitors, MP3 players, scanners, stereo equipment, telephones, vacuums, video game systems, and more – for  FREE, environmentally-safe recycling during our annual yard sale on May 30th from 9am-1pm at the WCBE studios, 540 Jack Gibbs Boulevard. All donations are tax exempt.*

Recycle responsibly and confidently!  All donated items will be reused, recycled, or disposed of in an environmentally-friendly fashion. By recycling your electronics, you help keep hazardous materials, such as lead and mercury, out of landfills. And Goodwill works with R2 certified vendors to ensure that the intellectual privacy from computers is protected.*

Help create jobs!  Every 27 seconds of every business day, someone earns a good job with the help of Goodwill.  Your donated e-waste helps fund programs and services to build independence, quality of life, and work opportunities for individuals with disabilities and other barriers.

But wait – there’s more!  If you have a family heirloom or collectible and always wondered how much it’s worth, bring it to WCBE on Saturday.  Garth’s Auctions will have appraisers here.  They’ll draw on decades of experience in antiques and collectibles to give you a fair market value of your family treasure.  It costs just $10 for one object, or $25 for three…and those fees will benefit WCBE!

So join us! Come on down May 30th to WCBE’s Yard Sale.  Drop off your old electronics with Goodwill’s e-cycling center, appraise your old treasures with Garth’s Auctions, and pick up “new” old stuff at our yard sale!  You’ll do so much good in one trip, your day will truly be a treasure!

*Donation receipts available by request. Management reserves the right to refuse any donation. Please refer any questions about Goodwill’s Donation Policy to their management team at www.goodwillcolumbus.org.

** Please be advised that it is the responsibility of the donor to remove their personal information from computers, etc.
