Weekly Ohio Jobless Claims Increase

The Labor Department says the number of applications for unemployment insurance benefits in Ohio rose last week by nearly 23-hundred.Nationally, applications fell by 25-thousand to a seasonally adjusted 370-thousand. A spokesperson says the decline happened because a temporary spike caused by Superstorm Sandy faded.
