An attorney says the family of a black man killed by a white Beavercreek police officer in 2014 is disappointed federal prosecutors have decided against charging the officer.

Police say John Crawford III failed to obey commands by Sean Williams to drop what they learned later was an air rifle Crawford was carrying inside of a store. A special grand jury declined to issue an indictment. The Justice Department Tuesday cited a lack of evidence of possible civil rights violations.
