Whitehall police say a man died in a house fire Saturday after attacking members of his family.
Police say 50-year-old Arthur McClain III died in the fire at a home in the 41 hundred block of Ural Avenue. Investigators say the family members escaped, but McClain barricaded the doors and set several fires in the home. No other information has been released. Last year, police issued an arrest warrant for McClain after he alleged held his ex-wife and daughter at knife point inside of their home in May. McClain allegedly broke into the home. The two were able to escape unharmed.
