Wife Of Lancaster Mayor Gets Four Years On Theft Charges

lancastereaglegazette.com

The wife of Lancaster Mayor Brian Kuhn has been sentenced to four years in prison on theft charges. 48-year-old Bridget Kuhn was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty in June to charges of stealing money from her former employer and a veterans group to support a gambling addiction. Kuhn must also pay nearly 329 thousand dollars in restitution to former employer Frazier Electric and an area American Legion Post. The company is owned by her former brother-in-law, and Kuhn performed bookkeeping work for both organizations. Fairfield County prosecutors say they declined to charge her husband, Republican Mayor Brian Kuhn, because they could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he knew about or was involved in the activities of his wife. Her plea is the result of a deal with prosecutors. Brian Kuhn has resisted calls by county Republicans to resign follwing his indictment on charges of faling to file a state income tax return.
