Woman Found Burned Along Road In Eastern Ohio

Sheriff's deputies are looking for people they think may have information about a burned, naked woman found on a rural road over the weekend. The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office says a motorist found the 29-year-old Canton woman at around 8:30 a.m. Sunday on a road north of Zanesville, about 70 miles east of Columbus. Muskingum County Sheriff Matthew Lutz says the woman was flown to the Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus with 4th-degree burns over most of her body. She also had been raped. Lutz said the crime was not random. Investigators located a crime scene in the woods nearby. A vehicle that may be connected to the crime was found in Canton, about 75 miles north.
