A woman has filed an excessive use of force lawsuit against Newark Police. Holly Hollins says officers bruised and cut her eleven-year-old autistic son this week while trying to restrain him after he hit his teacher. Hollins says the school knew he becomes violent when touched or restrained, but did nothing to stop police. A Newark police spokesperson says officers acted in the interest of public safety.
