Wright State Announces Layoffs As Part Of Budget Trimming Plan

Wright State University near Dayton plans to lay off 70 employees and eliminate 100 vacant jobs to cut 14 million dollars from its budget. 

The 2018 budget proposal includes 8 million in savings through operational changes such as reducing travel, scholarships and student employment. The Board of Trustees will vote on the budget June 8, and the layoff notices will be sent the following week.
