Columbus, Oh – 86-year-old Medina resident Fred Hatch served in World War II, and only in the last few years has he been able to talk about the experience with his family. He shared his memories during a recent visit to the WCBE studios. To commemorate Veterans Day and in the spirit of NPR's StoryCorps, we present this excerpt of a discussion between Hatch and his daughter Cynthia King about his military service.
